Timing of examination:
- Before gestational age of week 28.
Preparation:
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Drink a lot of clear fluid and hold bladder for at least one hour before scanning.
Aim:
- To follow-up and monitor the fetal conditions found in previous Detailed scanning. These conditions are inclusive of Fetal echogenic focus, echogenic bowel, and nuchal cord. Also to assess the conditions of placenta such as low lying placenta and placenta lakes.
