Details

Structures of examination: 

• Heart wall, aorta, pulmonary trunk, pericardium, heart valve and measure the function of the heart.

Preparation: 

• Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Fasting is not required.

Aim: 

• To assess the overall pumping function of the heart, determine abnormality in heart such as valvular disease and progress of heart condition and the effectiveness of treatment done.
• This is compulsory for all the patients who had suffered from heart attack before, heart failure, and hypertension. It is advisable to do it yearly to access what is the remaining function of the heart and guide the treatment.
